Suncrest is in Stevens County, same as our shop. That is not a marketing line, it is a road we drive. We are up in Colville and we have been running work down through Loon Lake and into the Suncrest area for longer than most of the houses out there have been standing.
We are not a Suncrest storefront. We are a Northeast Washington electrical contractor with our own bucket truck and a crew that spends most of its time on properties like these. Wells. Septic. Long drives. Trees over the service drop. We are licensed, bonded and insured. We are locally owned. We have been in business since 1992.
What Customers Say About Our Work

★★★★★
"I needed to relocate and upgrade my service to a 400 amp service to support a new building. Also, the feeders from my house and existing garage needed to be extended through an underground vault. The Floener staff were knowledgeable and professional. They coordinated with Avista and the whole project went perfectly! I highly recommend them."

What Winter Does to Power Out Here
Wind is the one that gets Suncrest. Trees come down across the river side of the area every year, and when a line goes with them, restoration on a rural feeder is not a two hour job.
What happens in your house four hours after the power stops in January?
For a lot of properties out here the answer is no water, because the well pump is electric, and then no heat, because the furnace needs a fan even when it burns propane. That is the chain people do not think through until they are living it.
So this is the season for the boring work. Between September and the first hard freeze we walk properties through the same short list.
- Start the generator, put a load on it, and exercise the transfer switch
- Test heat tape circuits before the ice comes, not after the first dam forms
- Check the panel for space and for heat on the breakers that work hardest
- Look at the well pump circuit, the pressure switch and the disconnect while the ground still digs
- Check outdoor receptacles and covers, since a cracked in use cover fails in the first storm
None of that is exciting. All of it is cheaper in September than in January.

Home Generator Installation Near Suncrest
We install manual and automatic transfer switches. Manual is less money and it works if somebody is home to throw it. On a rural property where the water depends on the power, we think automatic is worth the difference, and we will tell you that at the quote.
In our experience the argument is always about price in the fall and never about price in February. A house that loses water for two days does not just cost you comfort, it can cost you a pipe repair and a floor.
We size the machine around what has to keep running. Furnace or heat pump, well pump, fridge and freezer, and one lighting circuit. Whole property units exist, and we install plenty of them, but most Suncrest homes are better served by a right sized unit and a properly built transfer switch.
Book it early. The permit, the parts and the utility side all take time, and after the first storm every crew in two counties is on emergency calls.
Electrical Panel Upgrades Near Suncrest
Properties out here gain load quietly. A shop gets built. The well pump gets replaced with something bigger. Then a hot tub, a welder, a second freezer, a heater in the barn, and now a car that charges overnight.
Nobody upgrades the panel until the panel stops them.
We size a replacement for the load you carry today plus the next two things you are likely to add. Skipping that second half is how people end up paying for the same job twice.
If the service itself has to come up, we do that work and we schedule it with Avista. One customer needed a 400 amp service relocated for a new building, with feeders extended from the house and an existing garage through an underground vault. That job had four moving parts and a utility schedule, and it went in clean.
Breakers tripping with no pattern is not a household quirk. It is the panel telling you it is full.
Whole House Rewiring
Near Suncrest
Older places around the lake and up the hill hide the usual things. Knob and tube in the oldest sections. Aluminum branch wiring from the seventies. Splices behind walls that no inspector would sign off on now.
One rewire we did had three overloaded panels and eighty year old wiring behind them. We put in three new panels, connected an EMP shield, added an external switch for the water pump, ran new 20 amp outlets, and pulled out a ceiling fan that had already started to burn.
That is not a weekend job, and anyone quoting it as one has not opened a wall yet. We stage the work while people keep living in the house.

Well Pumps, Shops
and Long Underground Runs
This is where a rural electrician earns the drive. Buried runs to a shop, a barn or a pump house fail eventually. The hard part is never the repair, it is finding the fault.
We own underground fault locating gear, so we dig in the right spot the first time instead of trenching a driveway on a guess. On a long gravel drive that is the difference between an afternoon and a week.
We also run a 36 foot bucket truck for overhead work, service poles and yard lighting, which means pole jobs do not wait on a rental lift.

EV Charger Installation Near Suncrest
The commute into Spokane is exactly the drive that makes home charging pay off, and we are putting in more chargers out this way each year.
The charger is the simple part. The NEC wants a Level 2 unit on its own dedicated 240 volt circuit, and a full panel turns that circuit into the bigger half of the job. So we check the panel and the service before quoting rather than after.
Park in a detached shop and the numbers change again. Longer run, heavier conductor, and a trench if it is not already sleeved.
