Wake Up to a Full Charge

Charging an electric vehicle on a regular wall outlet adds about four miles of range per hour. A Level 2 charger does it eight to ten times faster, which is the difference between a car that is ready every morning and one that never quite catches up.

Floener Electric has been wiring homes and businesses in this region since 1992. EV chargers are new; the craft behind installing them is not. A charger runs at high amperage for hours at a stretch, every single night, and that duty cycle exposes sloppy work fast: undersized wire, loose lugs, a breaker that was not rated for continuous load.

We do it right, and we guarantee it for five years.

Panel Check First

A Level 2 charger pulls 30 to 60 amps. Plenty of homes around Spokane, especially older ones in Mead, Colbert, or the Valley, are running 100-amp panels that are already close to full. We do a load calculation first, not after the charger trips your main breaker. If capacity is tight, you get options, not a sales pitch: sometimes a load-management device solves it for a few hundred dollars, and sometimes the honest answer is a panel upgrade. We do those too, so it is one contractor and one bid for the whole job.

The Dedicated Circuit

A 240-volt circuit from the panel to the charger location, sized for the unit you chose and the duty it will see.

Charger Mounting and Connection

We install hardwired units and plug-in (NEMA 14-50) setups. If you have not bought a charger yet, we will tell you what works well and what to skip.

Permit and Inspection

Every install is permitted and inspected. It matters for your insurance and your warranty, and we handle the paperwork.

Commercial EV Charging

Businesses around the Spokane area are adding chargers for fleets, employees, and customers. We handle commercial installs end to end: service capacity review, conduit and wire runs across parking areas, charger mounting and wiring, and coordination on utility and inspection requirements. If you are weighing two chargers now against conduit for six later, we will help you rough in for the future so you only trench once.

The Floener Process

1. Site Visit and Bid

We look at your panel, your parking spot, and the run between them, then give you a written bid that shows where the money goes. The charger location drives price more than anything else: a garage wall near the panel is the easy case; a detached shop or a long conduit run adds to it.

2. The Install

Most home installs are done in half a day. Add time if trenching or a panel upgrade is involved.

3. Inspection and Handoff

Permitted, inspected, tested with your vehicle where possible, and labeled in the panel.

The Floener Difference

The Fabulous 5-Year Guarantee

Most contractors offer a one-year warranty. We guarantee our work for five. A charger should outlast its warranty card, and so should the wiring behind it.

One Contractor for the Whole Job

Charger, circuit, panel upgrade if you need one, even the shop or barn subpanel on rural properties. No finger-pointing between trades.

Professionalism Without the Attitude

We show up when we say we will, keep the work area clean, and answer your calls.

Frequently Asked Questions

A load calculation answers that in one visit. Many 200-amp homes take a charger with room to spare. Tighter panels can work with a smaller circuit or load management. We will give you the real number, not a guess.

Yes. A new 240-volt circuit requires an electrical permit and inspection. We include both in every install.

Hardwired is cleaner and required for some chargers at higher amperage. A NEMA 14-50 outlet gives you flexibility to swap units later. We will lay out the tradeoffs for your situation.

Most home installs are done in half a day. Trenching or a panel upgrade adds time, and we will tell you up front.

Yes. Rural properties are our bread and butter, and a charger in a shop or barn served by its own pole or subpanel is a job we know well.

Yes, we offer flexible financing options for qualifying projects. Ask us when we bid your job.
