Your outlets get a lot of use and after time do wear out.
The most common issue, is the outlet connectors are worn. The connectors inside become loose and after time do not grip the plug prongs as they should.
However, heat and sparks due to faulty wiring could also be a reason for a loose plug.
When replacing an outlet, you should always inspect the wiring for melting, burning or scorching.
If an outlet is loose and your plugs fall out, this could lead to sparks, arcs and fire. So be attentive and do not ignore your loose outlets.
